Pumpkin Patch!

This past weekend we visited a pumpkin patch with Tula and Pop.
The weather that day was SO hot!!! Looking back at the pictures you can tell how hot the kids were.
Rebecca enjoyed watching the balloon man make Benjamin a T-Rex.
The kids loved the pony rides.
Rebecca was not happy when her ride was over.

Benjamin had fun being chased in the hay maze by Pop.
 Boo!
 Boo!
Tula helped Benjamin feed the goats.

 Love this picture.
Life sure is sweeter with a buddy by your side.
This child did not want to leave the goats.
She was in love.

I always have (too) high expectations for family pictures.
Best one we got.
Can't even see the pumpkins... ha.
 "Over here kids."
 Best one of Rebecca.
 Cutie Benjamin.
They did not want to stand by each other.
After this shot we left Tula and Pop at the patch with the kids while we headed out for a date. They played on the jump houses for another hour and then went to Chick-fil-a for dinner.
Thank you Tula and Pop for the fun pumpkin patch and then watching the kids!

Daily Happenings

We have been busy doing lots of fun and random things these past few weeks...
We joined Parker for some reading time at the Plano Library.
The rain was an added bonus of fun for the kids.
You can't tell in this picture but there were probably 20 other children in attendance. Mine were front and center.  I had to tell Benjamin to be quiet a few times as he was answering EVERY question the story time leader was asking.  Rebecca had to be pulled back from crawling in random mom's laps. :)
Nothing like a nap wake up from your little sister. :)
Pretty sure our 'playing in underwear' days are numbered.
Rebecca started music class Tuesday mornings while Benjamin is in school  It has been really special have some one-on-one time with my girl.
Bubble head.
Our friend Devon is in the class with us.  They are so precious together.
I can always count on music to wear her out! We are on a month now of no morning naps, and her realllllly fighting the whole sleeping thing.  Many of naps have resulted in her falling asleep in this position...
A few weekends ago we spent it at Tula and Pop's house because Will was out hunting with his Dad.
Will's annual hunting trip always proves to be a great time for him and his Dad.
While Daddy was away Pop filled in...
To say my Dad is hands on would be an understatement...
If you look really close you can see her pumpkin head in the back. :)

The Gahan crew joined in on the fun Friday night for a Tula's Dance Party.
Get it Luke!
Saturday morning I left my precious babes with my precious parents for a day with my friends.
We tailgated and went to the A&M v. SMU game.
It was SO wonderful catching up with some of my faves.

The kids really missed me. :)
Sunday afternoon we threw baby Harry a shower to celebrate his mom.
Harry is one blessed, blessed child to have Kristen and Brad (plus an amazing extended family) to have as his family.
 The hostess.

Random picture of Rebecca giving the stink eye to her music teacher. (sigh.)
She is very into taking care of her "baba."
 I am feeling the love.
We had Rebecca and Savannah dedicated at our church.
What a blessing it is to have my children be surrounded by faithful, God-loving people.

After the dedication it was time to celebrate Rebecca's BFF turning 1!
Happy, happy Birthday Savannah Kate! You are loved, loved.

Bragging On Benjamin

We are in a major sweet spot with Benjamin right now.
I think about him from the age of 1 day to 18 months and how he would scream/whine ALL DAY long and look at him now... wow.  He has really blossomed.  Benjamin is so smart, kind, everyone's best friend, and expressing himself better everyday. He is very into imaginary play- especially super hero. I am just so proud of him! He still is a normal kid and his fare share of meltdowns but overall he is doing great. Thank you Jesus for our precious Benjamin!
A few weeks ago Benjamin went to the dentist for the first time. The dental hygienist commented on how well behaved he was and independent. (Can I get an amen!?)

The dentist said his teeth looked great.  He also said he never tells anybody this but Benjamin doesn't need to floss because his teeth are so far apart from each other. Haha! Makes my job a little easier.
Benjamin is doing awesome in school.  His teachers were super impressed by this...
 And this! :)
He was the leader in class two weeks ago and got to take their class "pet" home.  Leo was very busy...
He played with cousins.
 Enjoyed lots of outdoor time.
Slept each night with his master.
(Note: The house shoes.)
When on a run with Daddy.
Swam at Tula and Pop's house.
And attended church.

Rebecca's newest accomplishment includes mastering the art of a tantrum. :)
