School Is Out!

School got out a month ago... yes, I am super behind on the blogging.
The week before the last day Benjamin's school had their 2nd Annual Fun Run to raise money for their school playground.  Here is his class before their run.
Benjamin was kind of clueless (as was the rest of his class) about what was going on but he did know it involved running and balloons so he was good to go.
 They were off!

After the first lap the majority of his class stopped running but not Benjamin...
Other than being a little distracted at one point by the flags, he ran and ran and ran until the race was over!

The next week was his last day.
It is amazing to see how much he has grown over 9 months! Sniff, sniff.

After his photo shoot he insisted "Bubecca" have her picture taken.
She is ready for school! ha.
I came back later on in the day for their class party. Benjamin was in rare form and super tired. This was his face for the majority of the party.

I did manage to snag a smiling picture.

After pizza and cookies Benjamin got some of his energy back.
These 4 are trouble... they love to wrestle!
The girls in his class were not impressed. ha.
Wrestle break.
I have LOVEDDD his teachers this year! Miss Kathy and Miss Linda have loved Benjamin and helped him in so many ways this year.
After school we had a little party of our own.  Benjamin loved playing in bubbles and protecting our backyard from monsters.

Rebecca enjoyed watching in her Daddy's lap.
School is out for the summer and we are looking forward to lots of watermelon, swimming, and popsicles.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend out at the lake.  It was so nice to spend time with family and enjoy the freedom that I know we all take for granted.  It is so easy to get wrapped up in a fun 3 day weekend, and forget about the real reason behind the holiday, which is to remember those that have lost their lives fighting for our freedom.  This holiday is very sad for a lot of families and former soldiers, and I pray for peace and comfort for them all.  We owe these men and women everything, and their sacrifice is not lost on us.  Praise God for those selfless people who put everything on the line for us.
Our weekend was beautiful, and the lake is now up!  After a few years of drought, our lake has been too low to boat or do anything on it.  Don't get me wrong, we still go out there and enjoy every minute of it, but it was so nice to be able to enjoy the lake water again.  We took full advantage!
The babies also had their first swim of their lives!  They both loved it, and I am sure will be little fish someday.

Tula and her helmeted cuties!
There was tons of fishing to be had, and Uncle Will caught the fish of the weekend! Too bad we didn't get it on camera.

Pop got a new toy for the lake, a paddle board!  It was so fun and peaceful, may be my favorite thing out there.  Everyone got good use out of it.

Look how serene this couple looks.  Wow Rett and Ashley have it together!
Wow, and look at this couple...
Pretty funny watching them get settled from the dock.

Pop had mad skills with this little passenger. Benjamin was quick to jump on with whoever would let him.
Living the life...
We were also able to get out the tube!  The kids have never been able to do this, and it was a hit!
Audrey wasn't too sure, but ended up liking it.

Benjamin was a pro!
Rett finishing up his wake board session.
No pictures were taken but the two moms (Amanda and I) had a successful ski session.
The girls had fun trying on Aunt Ashley and Uncle Rett's hats.
Yes, her head fits the hat. :/
Oh wait, maybe not all the girls.  Uncle Rett....you are so mean.
Love this little booty.
Luke making a quick rescue.

Silly kids!

Life doesn't get much better than that!
