Hodge Podge!

We have been busy busy in the Schmid house!
Lot of random fun stuff in this post.
Benjamin has been catching up on some reading.

One of my oldest friends Megan got married and we had so much fun celebrating her and Adam.
It was a mini high school reunion filled with sweet friends from my past.
Rehearsal Dinner.

Wedding Day.

You know that moment at a wedding where you have two seconds to congratulate the bride? Well, I took my two seconds to have Will take a picture of me and the gorgeous bride...
Me: "Did you get it Will?"
Will: "It was a good one."
RIGGHHHTT.

Take Two.

Me and the hubby.

The Schmid side had some family in and we met them at Joe T's for some yummy enchiladas.
Ben loved going on a long walk with Claire.

I was drinking coffee one morning and looked down at my mug. Time sure does fly... how can this mug be 9 years old?!

Will turned the big 3-4 this past week and we had fun celebrating while Uncle Matt watched Ben. I love spending one-on-one time with this cutie.

The next day we headed to Miss E and Boots for bday celebration #2.

We always love seeing Geeb!

Will blowing out his candles...

Ben "helping."

This year for Will's gift I had some help from my lil bro Grant. He took pictures of our old house and replicated so we could remember it forever. I think it turned out great and will look so good in our next house. Grant is so talented!

I don't know about everyone else but this heat has really put a kink in our play time! We have been trapped in our apartment and tried to be creative.

We have logged many hours playing with Hank.

We have logged many hours on the car.

Spent some time outside playing in the sprinkler puddle.

Will is so sweet and takes Ben on a walk everyday when he gets home from work.

Thank goodness for the Olympics!
We have loved cheering on USA!

Ben had his 18 month appointment a few weeks ago.
Equipped with a sleeve of Ritz crackers he did great!
Benjamin is 34 1/2 inches tall (95%), weighed in at 25 pounds 5 ounces (41%) and his head is 48 1/2 cm (65%).

The one shot he got really wore him out!
(Note: I have since gotten rid of the girly pillow case.)

Well, that's the last of the hodge podge post!
I'll end with a cute pic of my little man.

SOLD!!!

Well, today is the day it becomes official... Will and I sold our first house!!
After 3 1/2 months of back and forth, 6 (yes, 6!) different closing dates, and dealing with the worst real estate agent ever, we are free free free!
Don't get me wrong, we LOVED our first house and will remember it fondly forever but are very excited to move to a new area.
We experienced many memories is 4513 Pine Grove Lane...

It was the house we became man and wife in...

It was the house we became an Aunt and Uncle in...

It was the house we became dog parents in...

It was the house we became real parents in...

It was the house we became a family in.

We will forever remember and love the first house we made a home.
I can't wait to see what our future holds!

Hawaii - Part 2

Day 5 - Beach Day
This day was a great beach day!  We jumped between two of the best beaches on the island and enjoyed some fun in the sun.

Luke was super proud of his sand castle.

Benjamin made sure Audrey was being protected from the rays.

Just call me the "baby whisperer".

Sweet beach moment.

The day ended with some pool fun!

Audrey and her mama.

Ben loved spending hours in the pool...

and hours walking with his Daddy!

"I love Hawaii!"

Day 6 - Falls
We headed to the water falls first thing in the morning.  The trip was filled with great views, fun hikes, and a yummy lunch out.

After the falls, we went back to our Hawaii house.
While Luke enjoyed dinner with Judy and Bunny Bear...

and Audrey was getting a bath in the pool...

Benjamin was having a major meltdown.
I guessed he missed the memo that he was in paradise.

Classic moment with my parents.
Me = taking deep breaths. Tula/Pop = dealing with crying child in the towel.

Ben was quick to recover once seeing his Daddy come back from a run.

This...

boy...

LOVES his daddy!

Day 7 - Last Beach Day
Our last full day on the island started out with my Dad spending an hour cracking a coconut. Fresh coconut juice is super over-rated.

Audrey was a little under the weather and enjoyed lots of TLC.

Just one of the guys.

The boys managed to look somewhat convincing wave surfing...

The Gibson Four.

... And the love birds that made it happen.

Travel Home
Our journey home was a long process!  Our departure flight didn't take off until 9:45 pm so we had a whole day to kill. Tula and Pop bought the kids cute Hawaiian outfits and they were a hit!

Surfing USA!

We killed time visiting the resorts that were near the airport.

There was great restaurants and shopping nearby.  Benjamin loved walking store to store.

Luke made some new friends...

Best Buds.

Amanda and I are so blessed!

My family of three.

My Hawaiian babe.

The Hawaiian islands have always been good to us.  We have loved being blessed by their beauty and culture. I am so grateful to have parents who are generous enough to bring us to place that God's presence is everywhere.
I love the following picture because it embodies pure joy, pure love, and pure beauty.
Hopefully we will see you again Hawaii but till then...
Mahalo.
