She's Here!

Rebecca Edens Schmid arrived at 9:29 am June 28, 2013.
She weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

She's here!!
(Warning: Picture overload.)
Labor story: Thursday afternoon I started monitoring contractions at 1:00.  My back labor was brutal.  By 5:00 we were on our way to the hospital with contractions 7ish minutes apart. After being monitored for three hours I was told I wasn't in 'active labor' (Boy, were they wrong!) so they sent me home around 9:00.  I was so scared and sad (understatement) they were sending me home.  By the time we were in the car my contractions were 3 minutes apart.  After getting some food and taking a shower we were back at the hospital 45 minutes later because the contractions were so STRONG! They finally admitted me because they saw change in dilation and labor was clearly happening.  After another hour I got an epidural (a.m.a.z.i.n.g) and was able to get some rest.  My precious mom let Will go home for a few hours to get some rest while she stayed with me.  My labor stalled out around 7:00 am at 6 cm dilated. They decided to start me on a little pitocin and it started to speed things along. My doctor finally broke my water at 8:45 and I was ready to push by 9:20.
(This picture was taken before I was sent home. ha)

At 9:29 this happened...

Our girl.
Will already so in love.

I was in heaven.
Thank you Jesus for this child!

I love Dr. Halderman.
She has now delivered Luke, Audrey, and Rebecca and will add another this September when Amanda has her third. So special.

After a few hours my boy came up to the hospital to meet his little sister.

Not the best of me but LOVE Benjamin in this photo.

Seeing Rebecca for the first time.

Love his face.

My Family of 4.

Aunt Amanda was so cute and had all the kids pick out stuffed animals to give Rebecca.

Tula has a tradition that we sing Happy Birthday to the new baby in the hospital.

Clearly the kids love the fact that they get a cupcake out of it.

I think they might be siblings?!? :)

We are so in love with Rebecca! I feel so blessed and honored to have been chosen to be her mama.  I am grateful God decided for her to come a week early and was able to choose her birthday.  I can't wait to see where life takes this precious child.
