NOLA!

A couple weekend ago we traveled to New Orleans to celebrate Granny G's 90th birthday!
We stayed at Hotel Monteleone and it did not disappoint.  I loved all the beautiful chandeliers they had everywhere.
Once we were settled into the hotel we ventured out for a yummy lunch at Acme.  You know if you have to wait in a line then the food must be worth it.
Boots gave it a thumbs up!

The night we had cocktails in the carousal lounge.  Lauren showed up sporting a shiny new accessory! We are so excited to gain another girl Schmid come August 22!
 Fun times at dinner!

Will and I woke up the next morning in search of beignets and coffee.
We were successful...
No kids means no "30 second button" needed to reheat this cup of coffee.
Random bubble maker in the streets.
 Jackson Square people watching.
Rebecca on the left, #3 on the right.
I really need to go back to New Orleans not pregnant.
What would we do without technology?!
Will submitting a quiz.
We went to brunch at Alexis' house which also happened to be in the center of all the parades.  We were able to eat and then walk to a nearby parade.
Back home the kids were living it up with Tula and Pop!
With all the Mardi Gras crazy lots of roads were closed resulting in more walking.  Here is a picture Will snapped of his crew trying to make it back to our hotel.
 Final party to celebrate Granny!
 Schmid Grandkids.
The restaurant overlooked Bourbon street and the later it got the crazier the street got.
 Ali Schmid, Adley Schmid.
 Schmid women.
We got home safe and all was right in the world once reunited with these two.
Now this is my kind of Mardi Gras.... they loved the beads I brought back for them.

Birthday Celebrations!

We had a fun time celebrating Benjamin this year!
I might of snapped a picture of him the last night he was 3. Sniff, sniff.
 "I can't believe I am 4!"
May all your wishes come true sweet boy.
We met the Larkin girls for lunch!
After lunch we came home and got ready for his small family party.
 He was excited.
Benjamin was spoiled with lots of fun gifts.

He has been asking for one of these for a long time.
 Made with love. :)
We ate a yummy meal filled with his favorites.  Pizza, fruit, and cake.
Love his face when he saw his cake...
 Blessed.

The next morning we headed to the Fort Worth Rodeo bright and early.
When your grandpa is a cowboy you always have the proper rodeo attire on hand.
  The kids were in heaven.

A tiny cowboy and his Tula.
When your grandpa is a cowboy you also get front row seats.
Benjamin was able to touch lots of horses and got dirt kicked up on him.  He loved it!

 Aunt Anna and Savannah.
 Boots and Miss E.

After the rodeo Rebecca passed out instantly.
We let Benjamin ride a few rides to end the day of celebrations.
I think is safe to say that this little cowboy had a great birthday!
